Los Angeles.
Los Angeles holds a special place in my heart, making it one of my favorite cities in the world. As a filmmaker and photographer, immersing myself in the vibrant industry here is always cool. The cafes filled with people writing scripts never fail to bring a smile to my face, providing the encouragement and motivation needed to bring creative visions to life.
California, with its diverse landscapes and dynamic energy, is a source of inspiration. Recently, I had the privilege of capturing a breathtaking wedding in this beautiful state. We kicked things off with a pre-wedding shoot in the heart of Korea Town. Working with Erik and Jessica was a joy, and getting to know them before the big day added an extra layer of connection.
We met up in a cool bar/restaurant called The Prince, in K-Town. From there, we ventured onto the streets, capturing unique moments that reflected Erik and Jessica’s love story.ecme cherished memories.
I opted for a mix of 35mm film and digital photography for this wedding. The contrast adds a timeless touch to the visuals, blending traditional and modern elements seamlessly.
After shooting a few portraits in The Prince and on the street we walked about 5 mins down the road to one of Jessica and Erik’s favorite dive bars HMS Bounty. It’s such a cool spot. I actually found myself here one Halloween a few years ago and back then i thought this would be a great place to photograph. We sat and had a few drinks and discussed the wedding plans.
The wedding itself unfolded in the scenic town of Los Alamos, just north of LA. The natural charm of the location served as the perfect backdrop.
Los Alamos is in Santa Barbara County, California, its a charming town just 50 miles north of Santa Barbara. Established in the 19th century, it preserves its historic allure with well-preserved buildings. If you find yourself in California id highly recommend visiting. And it’s not far from Wine country, right by the locations where they filmed one of my fav films Sideways.
Despite its small size, Los Alamos is a culinary destination with acclaimed restaurants and wine-tasting rooms. The town's arts and cultural scene, along with picturesque vineyards, make it a unique spot for events like weddings.
Los Alamos is a hidden gem.
From the early hustle to the last dance, the energy was crazy good. The laughter, the behind-the-scenes chaos, and those heartwarming moments. I could feel the love from the moment I met Erik and Jessica.
The ceremony was so beautiful. Vows were exchanged, smiles were beaming, and then, cue the sunset magic. I hit the jackpot with the most jaw-dropping sunset.
That’s another thing I love about California you can always rely on a lovely sunset. The light you get is truly magical. nsetMagic
Capturing this wedding was an absolute dream! The connection with everyone was so great that they even invited me to stick around for some post-celebration drinks.
Later, we spontaneously hit the streets for an impromptu couples shoot. Armed with sparklers and my trusty light with various color settings, we created some magical moments.
